Administrative identifiers

Administrative identifiers are used to restrict the view of objects. For example, if there are several locations, it makes sense for users and administrators to be able to see only the devices of their own location. An administrative identifier is any term that can be assigned to objects. An administrative identifier can be assigned to the following objects:

  • Devices
  • Users

In the WebClient, users can only see devices that have the same administrative identifiers as they themselves have. Administrators can have several administrative identifiers whose objects they can see - they are a setting in an administrator role, see Role Management.
